Anonymous draws her strength from solitude in quiet surroundings and spiritual reading from the Bible as represented in this photo taken by a ravine behind the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. This spot and daily contemplation of scripture renews her energy to face the world. This is sometimes her only escape from the crashing worries and mounting problems in her life.
In her early 60s, Anonymous moved to Canada with all her savings only to lose it all due to unforeseen circumstances, leading her to live in the streets and in social housing. She feels she has not begun her life yet and hopes to gain the freedom to live and work from her current situation. She hopes for "a kinder, more compassionate society that would treat us like human beings, treat us as they would like to be treated."
For Anonymous "picture taking was a life-changing, healing experience." She hopes to experiment with video and understand a DSLR + film camera better. She looks forward to gaining experience in the photography business and learning the ropes to pursue her love of nature photography and film.
