Robert Cotie's photo was taken in his favourite neighbourhood, Kensington Market. "I wanted to show a juxtaposition: no one wants homelessness, but some people choose it as an alternative. There's also a sense of freedom to it. The freedom of fresh air and a beautiful world."
Compared to the small town of Halifax where Robert grew up, Toronto has always felt like Hollywood. He likes Kensington Market as it’s filled with radical punks and fellow artists. It’s also where he lives.
Robert is a visual artist who specializes in abstract art, using acrylic and oil. His work is on display and for sale at The Heart of Kensington Gallery.
