Terry Kozak
The monument at Keele Street and Wilson Avenue where this photo was taken is a place Terry and his friends often come to enjoy the company of good people. Terry calls this photo "Happy Within." He describes his friend as someone who has had a rough time in life, but "his eyes show peace; he's always at peace" and always happy within.
Born and raised in Toronto, Terry heard about MYTORONTO through the Ve'ahavta Mobile Jewish Response to Homelessness van and Na Me Res. Terry's goal is to be nice to everyone. He says, "Everyone has issues and heartache. Everyone is a person and until you hear their story, it's not right to be judgmental." He hopes that others take the time to make people feel like a person.
As Terry continues to volunteer, he would love to pursue his passion for photography at the Ryerson University School of Image Arts. He continues to be real and natural and "be you."
